Rusape Town Council makes a mark at the ZITF exhibition
Rusape Town Council recently made an impactful return at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) after a lengthy absence from the international fair. The ZITF is now firmly back on the Council’s events calendar. The international fair provided Council with the opportunity to market Rusape to prospective local and international investors. Council is on an external engagement drive mainly anchored on attracting major investments in a number of thematic areas of strategic importance to the growth of Rusape as a town. Indeed, Council has taken a global perspective towards development initiatives as the town strives towards attaining smart city status. The Rusape Town Council exhibition stand was a hive of activity throughout the duration of the exhibition. Visitors who toured the stand were made aware of the mosaic of socioeconomic services Council is offering and the limitless investment opportunities in recreation, hotel and conference facilities, urban renewal, power generation, water treatment and waste management were explained to prospective investors. Visitors to the Council stand were generally impressed with the graphic work and design of the stand and this enhanced the overall visitor experience beyond the information feedback and hospitality they received from exhibitors manning the stand. The Council stand attracted over two hundred visitors from all walks of life including Ministry of Local Government officials, UCAZ and international investors. Council exhibited under the theme ‘A modern town providing transformative and innovative municipal services for global competitiveness’ and this resonated with the ZITF main theme “Entrepreneurship: The Catalyst for Industrialization and Trade”.
